As part of establishing respondent's perception of recreation needs in Airdrie, they were asked, "If you were responsible for deciding what new recreation facilities would be developed in Airdrie and were given $100 to spend, how much would you allocate that to the following amenities, assuming each costs the same amount to build." A list of options were provided and over all, survey respondents gave more emphasis to the development of new indoor facilities in the community compared to outdoor amenities when allocations of the available $100 are examined in detail.
