Project Description
| With continued city expansion and population growth, coupled with evolving transit needs, the City has partnered with Dillon Consulting Limited (Dillon) to develop a new 10-year Transit Master Plan. This update will provide guidance to develop transit service planning and operation in the next ten years. The goal of the update is to better align service, including service within Airdrie and inter-municipal service, with passenger needs, municipal priorities, and growth strategies. Developing the new master plan will include reviewing existing service and policy, public engagement, development of a future transit network and service strategy, and an implementation plan. In the spring we asked for help to understand the travel patterns of Airdrie residents and your perceptions of the existing transit service. Your feedback has been used to draft a proposed service plan to maintain the strengths and improve the shortcomings of the existing transit service. This fall we are asking for your feedback on the proposed changes before they are finalized in the updated Transit Master Plan. |

Public Survey
Past engagement
The first round of public engagement activities were conducted in June 2025. This round aimed to understand travel patterns, perceptions of Airdrie transit service, and potential directions for transit service expansion and improvement. Engagement activities included: an online survey; four virtual stakeholder interviews; two virtual group interview sessions; two pop-up events; and in-person transit ride and passenger chats.
A summary of what we heard in the first round of engagement (June 2025) is available on this page under "document library."
